FAQs

There are a lot of moving parts in high school, but some questions remain constant. We’ve rounded up the answers for you here.

What times does WPHS start and end each day?

Who is the principal?

Our principal is Mrs. Brandi Haskins. She has served as the principal of Westview High School and La Joya Community High School.

When and where are Future Freshman Nights and Parent Information Nights?

We will hold our Future Freshman and Parent Information Night during the spring of 2019. Watch our News page for announcements.

What elementary schools feed directly into WPHS?

Littleton (north of Buckeye Rd.), Canyon Breeze, Rio Vista, Amberlea, Sheely Farms, Desert Oasis, PH Gonzales (as denoted on the boundary map).

Will WPHS offer English Language Learning classes?

Yes. We will have ELL courses available. Please see the ELL page for more information.

Who is eligible for bus services to WPHS? If I am attending through the Open Enrollment program, is transportation provided?

Students entering their sophomore year who also attended a Tolleson Union High School District school during their freshman year may receive bus service based on our grandfather clause until their cohort graduation. This means that if you lived in and attended La Joya, as an example, during your freshman year, then TUHSD will continue to provide transportation for you to your home school based on the new boundaries. Students may always apply for open enrollment to attend any school in the district; however, TUHSD does not typically provide transportation to open enrollment students.

Is bus transportation available?

Yes, our district does provide transportation for students. Please visit the Transportation page on the district website to learn more and access bus route information.
